RADIOFREQUENCY (RF) THERAPY (SKIN TIGHTENING)
Radiofrequency (RF) therapy, also called radiofrequency skin tightening, is a nonsurgical method of tightening your skin. The procedure involves using energy waves to heat the deep layer of your skin known as your dermis. This heat stimulates the production of collagen. Radiofrequency (RF) therapy, also called skin tightening, is a non-surgical treatment that uses radio-wave technology to tighten sagging skin and reverse the effects of ageing for a revitalised, younger-looking appearance.
Radiofrequency therapy involves using advanced radio-wave technology to heat the deep layer of your skin known as your dermis and sub-dermal layers whilst protecting the epidermis (top layer of your skin). Heating, without damaging the outer layers of skin, causes collagen to degrade and when that happens it stimulates the body to produce more collagen. Boosting your collagen production, resulting in the tightening of skin tissues and reduced appearance of wrinkles. This treatment can be used on areas with “loose” skin, including the face, neck and chest.
WHO IS IT FOR?
- Radiofrequency has become renowned worldwide for treatments of the face and the body. Treatments performed by RF are:
- Wrinkles around the mouth
- Crows feet & smile lines
- Lines on the forehead
- Facial skin tightening
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL YOU NEED?
We recommend 4-6 treatments, at weekly, intervals, then monthly “top-ups” for best results.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Each treatment lasts for about 15 to 60 minutes targeting problem areas with ultrasound waves that work to tighten the skin and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Please be well hydrated the day before, day of and two days after treatments. Following radiofrequency, many clients will experience redness and some local swelling may appear and will resolve soon after treatment. Immediately following the treatment, your skin will feel tighter, with more tightening improvements appearing gradually over months after treatment.
