DolorClast® High Power Laser
The DolorClast® High Power Laser provides fast and durable pain reduction. It delivers acute pain relief in only 5 minutes. The DolorClast® Laser was developed especially to provide an efficient, non-addictive, and well-tolerated method of pain management. Even when treating very painful musculoskeletal problems, local anaesthetic is not necessary.
DolorClast® High Power Laser is a safe and effective solution for persons who are experiencing discomfort or have a low pain threshold during the rehabilitation process. If you have been searching for relief from pain, consider DolorClast® High Power Laser at Meditone.
Laser Therapy for Pain Relief
The nociceptors at the injury site, which transmit pain signals to the brain, are blocked by the DolorClast® High Power Laser. The laser's carefully chosen wavelength enables it to quickly and effectively relieve pain without the need of traditional painkillers.
Laser Therapy for Acute Inflammation Reduction
The amount of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), a fatty acid product that mediates acute inflammation, is reduced by the DolorClast® High Power Laser. PGE2, when released in the tissues, causes blood vessels to enlarge and become more permeable, which in turn causes an acute inflammation with associated redness and swelling.
The 905 nm wavelength used in our laser therapy treatment effectively activates the healing process by simulating the effects of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs) while protecting patients from their side-effects and potential addiction.

LASER THERAPY FAQ
Common Questions About High Power Laser Therapy Treatments
Our friendly staff are here to answer any of your questions about our DolarClast® High Power Laser treatments, but here are some commonly asked questions:
Is DolorClast® High Power Laser treatment painful?
No, the laser treatment is not at all painful! The patient experiences little to no heat effect in comparison to other high power lasers. This is made possible by the carefully chosen wavelength and 100 ns-long pulse duration, which keep the treated tissues below the heat threshold and reduce the chance of burns. The action mode "Hypersensitive" further reduces the danger of burns in specific groups of patients and application areas, such as those with tattoos, sensitive skin, etc., to further ensure that thermal heating is avoided.
How long does a DolorClast® High Power Laser treatment session last?
The length of the treatment session can depend on whether the DolorClast® High Power Laser is used in conjunction with other GDT devices. However, sessions can last from 3 to 30 minutes. The DolorClast® High Power Laser offers a special pre-set 3-minute protocol to tackle pain quickly - an ideal solution prior to starting DolorClast® Shock Waves Treatment.
How does the body respond to DolorClast® High Power Laser treatment?
A nociceptor is a sensory neuron found at nerve ends that responds to harmful or potentially harmful stimuli by delivering a threat signal to the spinal cord and brain. The word “nociceptor” is derived from the Latin “nocere”, which means "to harm." When an impulse is interpreted by the body as a threat, it produces pain in order to draw attention to the affected bodily area and, ideally, reduce the threat. It is the carefully chosen wavelength of the DolorClast® High Power Laser that offers an immediate and potent analgesic effect without the use of traditional medications.
How long does it take to see results from laser therapy?
Five minutes after the High Power Laser treatment is over, a strong analgesic effect will be apparent that is likely to last for up to 72 hours. Additionally, the inflammation starts reducing 60 minutes after the end of the laser treatment. The edoema dissolves quickly and the damaged tissue heals faster.
How many DolorClast® High Power Laser sessions are required?
Depending on the pathology, the degree of discomfort, and how persistent the pain is, the number of laser treatments may vary. When the laser is used alone, it may take anything from 6 to 12 treatments, starting with weekly to fortnightly sessions as we monitor the healing progress of each individual case.
For faster recovery Laser and Radial Shockwave can be used together. When Laser is used in conjunction with DolorClast® Radial Shockwave Therapy, an average of 3 to 8 sessions, held once or twice per week depending on the severity of the case (to be followed by the treatment plan provided) may be needed.
When can you resume normal activities after Laser treatment?
Since there is no downtime necessary during the DolorClast® High Power Laser treatment, daily activities can resume right away following the session. Indeed, patients are likely to feel significantly better even after the first session because of the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of the laser.
