How does shockwave therapy work?

High-pressured acoustic shock waves are applied to the treatment site using a wand in shockwave therapy. The shocks penetrate the skin and aid in tissue healing and pain alleviation.

What conditions does shockwave therapy treat?

Conditions like tendinitis of the Achilles, shoulder, gluteal, hamstring, and patella, as well as heel spurs, tennis and golfer's elbow. Shockwave therapy is also effective for treating other musculoskeletal issues such shin splints, osteitis pubis, and Osgood Schlatter/Sever's disease. What does a shockwave therapy treatment session involve?

When Laser is used in conjunction with DolorClast® Radial Shockwave Therapy, an average of three to eight sessions, held twice per week, may be necessary.
