How does shockwave therapy work?

High-pressured acoustic shock waves are applied to the treatment site using a wand in shockwave therapy. The shocks penetrate the skin and aid in tissue healing and pain alleviation.

What conditions does shockwave therapy treat?

Conditions like tendinitis of the Achilles, shoulder, gluteal, hamstring, and patella, as well as heel spurs, tennis and golfer's elbow. Shockwave therapy is also effective for treating other musculoskeletal issues such shin splints, osteitis pubis, and Osgood Schlatter/Sever's disease. What does a shockwave therapy treatment session involve?

For faster recovery Laser and Radial Shockwave can be used together. When Laser is used in conjunction with DolorClast® Radial Shockwave Therapy, an average of three to eight sessions, held twice per week, may be necessary.

When can you resume normal activities after a shockwave session?

Daily activities can resume immediately after the DolorClast® Shockwave Therapy treatment because there is no impact on your daily life or downtime required.
